Daily Schedule
Our academic school day begins at 8:30 for all students.
Dismissal Times: 11:30, 1:00, 3:00
Extended care available before and after school: 8:00 - 8:30 & 3:00 - 4:30.
8:30 - 10:45
Morning Montessori Work Time
The children are given lessons individually or in small groups. They choose work from the five areas of the classroom: practical life, sensorial, language, math, and culture. Activities focus on academic concepts as well as the development of independence, coordination, control of movement, and order. Art, music, and snack choices are available throughout the work time.
10:45 - 11:00
Whole Group Time
During whole group lessons the children learn to recognize the days of the week and months of the year. The children also participate in lessons about topics in science, art, geography, biology, etc. Classroom routines and procedures are frequently taught and revisited during this time.
11:00 - 12:00
Gross Motor Play
Students participate in various forms of gross motor exercise indoors or outdoors, weather depending.
Half day students dismiss at 11:30.
12:00 - 1:00
Lunch
Students bring their own lunches.
Lunch extended students dismiss at 1:00.
1:00 - 3:00
Afternoon Montessori Work Time or nap

Full day students dismiss at 3:00.

Extended Care
The children may choose to work on various activities either independently or with other children. Activities include, but are not limited to puzzles, art projects, coloring, building materials, etc. Flexible drop off and pick up times.
